Julep nails

I am not one to keep up with doing my nails, but when I do, I like to take pictures. {haha} I know that is bad being a beauty expert and makeup artist... I really need to get into the habit of doing my nails weekly.

I wanted to share with you what I am currently wearing. Both are from previous months of Julep Maven Boxes. Which you can subscribe to monthly boxes here.

I am NO nail expert by any means!

What I am wearing on all nails: Julep nail in Glenn
The glitter on my ring finger: Julep nail in Yumi

I have to say I am very pleased with Julep's nail colours! The one thing I do find is that they chip easily. :( However, this red is GORGEOUS!! I have never loved a red nail polish quite so much before. It has little itty bitty red sparkles in the polish to give a nice shine. Yumi glitter polish is mainly pink but has hints of rainbow colours and is gorgeous as well. I am all about the glitter!

Have you tried Julep products before?

Til next time... Red sparkles & glitter nails,

Top 10 for Fall

Well Hi-de-ho all!! It has been quite some time since I have last posted. Man am I ever behind in times? Since I have yet to post ANYTHING at all for fall, and we are coming to an end... soonish- I figured, hey, why not do an up-to-date post of my musts for fall? So, without further a-do... my top 10 fall fav's!
Top 10 for fall 2012

1. Stila In the Know Palette- $50 {CAN} available at Select Shoppers Drugmart & Sephora
Why I'm loving this product? Ummm, hello? What other company has come out with a palette that is all Matte?... EXACTLY!! Not only that, you have all must have fall colours with a range of lights and darks to make any look- day or night! The added bonus? The smudge stick that comes along... if you haven't heard much about Stila smudge sticks, well, you're missing out! For the first 30 seconds or so that you apply it, you are able to smudge the liner. After those 30 seconds, poof-WATERPROOF and UN-SMUDGABLE! It's magic! haha, well.. not really, but it is a fun product!

2. Korres Evening Primrose Eye Cream- $44 {CAN} available at Shoppers Drugmart
Why I'm loving this product? Well, if the fact that it is an all natural product doesn't tickle your pickle then maybe this does? Evening primerose is a lightweight eye cream that fights against first signs of aging and dark circles. With vitamin C to help stimulate collagen and plump fine lines. If that doesn't get you excited to try it, I don't know what else will?

3. Korres Pomegranate Deep Cleansing Scrub- $26 {CAN} available at Shoppers Drugmart
Why I'm loving this product? If you love the smell of olives and you have oily or combination skin, this may be the scrub for you! Again, all natural product with a creamy texture with olive pits grated up for natural exfoliating grains. This baby will help minimize the sizes of pores, reduce blackheads, remove excess oil and leave the skin feeling radiant!

4. Stila Convertible Colour in Lillium- $33 {CAN} available at Select Shoppers Drugmart & Sephora
Why I'm loving this product? A versatile product great for any lady on the go! Wear on your cheeks as a cream blush (great for adding moisture back into your skin!) or on your lips for a quick and convient lip colour. Great if you are looking for a mono-chromatic look!

5. Shiseido Pureness Refreshing Cleansing Sheets- $20 {CAN} available at Select Shoppers Drugmart
Why I'm loving this product? 100% Cotton and Oil free- great for oily or combo skin! Quick, easy and convient way to remove excess dirt or makeup. Great for on the go or for those lazy nights after a few glasses of wine. (I'm sure most if not all of you have had nights like that. ;) )

6. Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream- $50 {CAN} available at Shoppers Drugmart & Sephora
Why I'm loving this product? There are sooo many BB creams on the market these days that it can be overwelming! I love the Smashbox Camera ready for many reasons. One being that to this date, I am picky with coverage on my foundations/tinted moisturizers/BB creams. I love that the smashbox gives me my full coverage and is still quick and easy like all other BB creams! The other added bonus is that this BB cream not only uses SPF, but a Broad Spectrum SPF!! (For those of you who do not know what Broad Spectrum is- in short, it gets deeper down into the skin layers then your average SPF without it.) Oh yes, and lets not forget that there is also Anti-aging benefits from using this great product!!! Umm, yes please!

7. Stila Long Wear Lip Colour in Daring- $26 {CAN} available at Select Shoppers Drugmart & Sephora
Why I'm loving this product? A long wearing lipstick and lipgloss all in one! I'm loving this dark plum colour for the fall!! It has been one of my daily go-to's, especially with a neutral eye. (Ahem, Stila's IN THE KNOW Palette.) haha

8. Clarins Gloss Prodige in Blackberry- $24 {CAN} available at Select Shoppers Drugmart
Why I'm loving this product? Similar in colour as Stila Long Wear Lip Colour in Daring only in a gloss! Intense colour, high shine, long lasting and a gel-finish so it is not STICKY!!!!

9. L'Occitane Amande Milk Concentrate- $59 {CAN} available at L'occitane stores and Select Shoppers Drugmart
Why I'm loving this product? WORTH THE SPLURGE!!! I'm pretty sure I have already raved about this product in one of my previous posts, but I have so much love for it I had to mention it again! A lightweight texture that quickly absorbs into your skin, leaving it smooth and toned. The almond oil helps prevent signs of aging like lifting and firming while leaving you smell delicious. Great when paired together with Amande Delicious Paste and Amande Supple Oil.

10. L'Occitane Amande Delicious Paste- $46 {CAN} available at L'occitane stores and Select Shoppers Drugmart
Why I'm loving this product? A delicious Almond smelling scrub that leaves your body smooth, hydrated and toned. She will help stimulate cellular activity while gently exfoliating. Mmmmm is all I have to say! MUST TRY!!!!

Do we share any favourites? Have you tried any or all of these products? What are your thoughts if you have?
I wanna hear your opinions!

Till next time,

Got my Oatifix!

There is nothing more that I love then to do a little pampering to myself with a little Lush. Mmm oh how I love that store!! How you can still smell the store even though it is right beside the food court in the mall.
Every time I walk in, I instantly have a huge smile on my face. There must be something in the aroma of scents that catches me every time. haha

Today I decided to do a little pampering, and I used Lush's Oatifix natural face mask. Mmmm!!!!!! With oats, crushed almonds and banana's, perfect for this time of the year!! The banana's will help hydrate your skin, the oats help calm your skin and the almonds will gently exfoliate!

Overall, this would be one of my top 3 face masks by Lush. Not only does it smell soooo good, but it makes your face feel smooth and hydrated after. :)

If you haven't already tried this mask and are lucky enough to have a Lush location close to home, I HIGHLY recommend you try this!!! Did I mention it smells SUPER DUPER good?! Ohhhh and even if you have sensitive skin you can use it! WOWZA!

L'Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil

I'm going to start doing product reviews so I start getting into the habit of updating my blog more... so let me know if they are good and whether I should keep doing them. I love hearing feedback!

L'Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil

Ohhh the smell... enriched with almond, peppermint, palmarosa and Immortelle. To me, it's heaven! I love anything that with a sweet scent... but if it has an almond scent... it's got me!

With all different types of protein, oils and essential oils, used to protect skin tissue and fight against elasticity. (Which, being 22 and all... I really don't need it for that!) However, it also has a deep nourishing formula which is used to prevent stretch marks! Great for all those mommas-to-be!!

So, what do I use it for? I use it to moisturize my body, as a massage oil and to soothe my legs after shaving! Not only does it leave your skin feeling smooth and moisturized, but it makes you smell sooo good!! It is known not to stain or leave oily marks on clothing as well! BONUS!

When you think of oil, you think... greasy, right? WRONG! Well, not for this one at least! It is non-greasy and absorbs into your skin quickly. What else can you ask for in a body oil?

I'm in loveeee. <3

If you haven't tried any L'Occitane products before, you're missing out! I love every single product I have tried from the line. What are you waiting for? GO TRY SOME!!!

New year, new you!

HAPPPPYYY NEWWW YEARRR!!!!!!!

I know, I know... I'm a bit late. Ahh well, better late then never as I always say!
2012, a new year, a new you! At least that's what we all like to think... how many of you set new years resolutions then always tend to give up or forget about them? I think this happens to the majority of us.
For this reason, I have decided that this is the year I make a resolution to keep my resolutions! HA! Yes, I said it... now I just gotta do it. hehehe
Now, what are my resolutions you say?
Let's see..
- Eat Healthier
- Exercise more
- Keep in touch with friends more
- Be more creative and make more things... can someone say craft-olla's? (Yes, I just made that up!)
- Work towards my goals, big and small ones
- Concentrate on my business/career
Last but not least, and definitely the biggest one, Quit smoking!!! I am happy to share, that I am currently on day 4! Not one cigarette has touched these beautiful lips, nor will one ever again! (At least I hope not!)
What do you think? Think my resolutions are manageable? I think so, and I know if I keep my mind and heart to it, I can do all of these!
Now let me hear all of yours! I enjoy hearing what everyone wants to change about themselves. I think it is a great way to let stuff out that you keep bottled in too.

New years resolutions and yucky smoking,
